Among the MGB IV-A envoys are Krizia Ann P. Alberto and Norberto L. Manlapas, Jr., both mining engineers of the agency.
The seminar/workshop was organized by the DENR-Mines and Geoscience Bureau Central Office and was attended by a total of 32 participants from all MGB-Regional Offices in the country.
The events’ primary objective aims to provide a refresher and discussion in the processing/evaluation of different types of applications for mining permits filed at the MGB/MGB-Regional Office and the corresponding mandatory requirement. Topics discussed include the formation of the new MGB Citizen’s Charter for mining applications for all regions; lecture on the evaluation of applications for Exploration Permit (EP), Mineral Production Sharing Agreement (MPSA), Mineral Processing Permit (MPP) and Financial or Technical Assistance Agreement (FTAA); lecture on the evaluation of Declaration of the Mining Project Feasibility (DMPF), Operating Agreements and Deed of Assignment of mining rights; and lecture on the evaluation of proposed/petition for declaration of People’s Small-Scale Mining Area or “Minahang Bayan.”
Included in the event is the workshop and open forum where different participants all over the country tackled several issues concerning processing of applications from their respective regions.
